Fight Club is a movie about a guy named Jack (Edward Norton). Jack is a guy that has an office job that pays well and Jack is financially secure but spiritually empty. Jack is also an insomniac. He finds comfort in going to support groups for cancer, AA, and other support groups for diseases that he doesn’t have. He is confronted by another person that is doing the same thing. They get found out that they are faking it and they get kicked out of the support groups. They go around to different support groups to feel accepted and keep getting kicked out for being phonies. Then he meets a man named Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt). They meet on a plane and then they go drinking. After leaving the bar, Tyler tells Jack to punch him in the face as hard as he can. He does and then they eventually start an all out fight. When it is over, they feel good. Jack feels just like he does when he went to all of the support groups. He starts an underground club that he calls "Fight Club." It is a place where men can come and beat each other up to relieve their stress. The number of members grows and Fight Club becomes very popular. Chapters of Fight Club open all around the country and it becomes almost cult-like.  They embark on terrorist type missions until Jack can no longer take it and faces a life altering decision that leads to a  satisfying conclusion.
