Audioslave is consists of three members from Rage Against the Machine (Morello, Commerford, and Wilk) and one member from Soundgarden (Cornell). They joined together in May 2001 and wrote twenty-one songs in nineteen days. On November 19, 2002 they released their self-titled album "Audioslave" . It sold over 2,000,000 copies and some critics compared them to Led Zeppelin saying that their sound style was much-needed in today's contemporary music. Audioslave also was the first American band to perform a concert in Cuba. The concert was on May 6, 2005 and was organized with the correlation between the United States Treasury Department and the Instituto Cubano de la Musica. Shortly after the concert, Audioslave's released their latest album "Out of Exile" on May, 24 2005.
